Re: Eclipse says nxjflashg has been started

leJOS NXJ on OS X 10.11 will work without having Java 32 Bit installed. And I'm not sure whether Java 32 Bit will still run on OS X 10.11. Lego's drivers never supported 64 Bit applications, so we can't make leJOS NXJ run with 64Bit Java without bypassing Lego's drivers. The best chance you have is ...

Re: Can leJOS run on ev3dev?

Replace BusyBox with Linux? BusyBox is an application and Linux is a kernel. BusyBox is a compact but sometimes rather minimal replacement for various applications. It integrates a shell, dhcp client/server, and what the collection of tools that is also known as coreutils (ls, cp, ...). These tools ...

And when using Eclipse, using a 32Bit version of Eclipse will help.

Re: How detect Colors without flashing LEDs

Or simply use a color filter (something that is red and transparent). Then disable the LEDs of the color sensor and simply record the brightness. If there is a sudden rise and decline in brightness, then the LED is blinking.

Re: Multiple devices on I2C bus

My first guess would be that you should try other pullups. The Arduino may be more tolerant in terms of voltage levels than the EV3. However, I cannot advise you what pullups could be the right ones. Just to clarify: you are saying, that the Arduino can communicate with the additional devices WHILE ...

Re: Late reaction

Also writing the value out via sysout is not a good idea. Writing to sysout may block, especially if the network connection is bad.

Re: Linking Error

Could it be, that the new project has "LeJOS NXT Runtime" while the old project doesn't?

Re: Linking Error

This is hard to debug. But I'm pretty sure that the classpath shouldn't just include one folder. At the classes.jar of leJOS should be in the classpath. Could it be that you moved files around? To which folder did you install leJOS? Which folder is configured in Eclipse in the settings for the leJOS...

Re: Detect if I2C bus is free/busy from driver

Of course, our code is just an evolution of the Lego code. I didn't mean to discredit the leJOS code. But nonetheless, even in case of leJOS NXJ, we hit some of problems that arose from the fact that leJOS performs its I2C transaction whenever the user program requests - while the Lego software seem...

Re: Detect if I2C bus is free/busy from driver

I agree with Andy that, most likely, it's some timing related issue that never shows with the Lego firmware, as it has some reasonable delay between I2C transactions by design. I'd test whether having a few ms delay (like 50ms or 100ms) between i2cTransactions significantly decreases the number of f...

Re: bluetooth read no-blocking

A common misconception is that the available() method returns something positive if there is data to be read. That is not the case.
The available() does return zero if there nothing to read - but it does not necessarily return something positive if there is data to be read.

Re: Official Fantom driver download is broken

It seems, that the three missing DLLs (the ones without an hourglass) are somewhat unimportant, as leJOS works fine for me on Windows 8.1 64bit, even though the dependency walker shows me the same 3 errors that you describe.

Re: Official Fantom driver download is broken

So far, I have not been able to find out where the missing DLLs come from or why they cause problems. Be patient.
What OS are you using again? Windows 7? Windows 8? Windows 8.1?
