Eclipse for iMac defect

When I open Eclipse on my iMac, the menu bar at the top of the screen has a Window tab as it does on my PC . But clicking on this tab shows a menu that has only a few of the options that show up on the PC. In particular, it does not have Preferences, so it cannot be configured to code for EV3. Ideas...

Re: WheeledChassis problem

good news. I ran team.pull to update ev3classes, ran the build.xml to download classes.jar to the robot, and now WheeledChassis works.
Thanks for your patience.

Re: WheeledChassis problem

I have successfully run the program of my last post with no error messages. The robot moves backward instead of forward then performs the rotate and arc methods correctly.

I would be grateful if someone else could run this code and let me know if you get a similar result.
Thanks,
Roger

Re: WheeledChassis problem

Now that I have the latest version of everything, I get back to testing the WheeledChassis.
The method travel(150) makes the robot back up. rotate(90) works correctly, as does arc(100,90);

Re: WheeledChassis problem

Hi Andy, I have the lejosimage.zip file from the snapshot is now on the sd card. Most of the files were modified on 2/11/2915. I like the new look of the menu system, so at least that is different. But my code still does not run; gives the same errors. I am importing from from classes.jar in the GIT...

Re: WheeledChassis problem

Hi Andy, There are several other problems with running other code on the EV3, the problem is likely with the card image. My copy of ev3classes[code Master 29] is up to date according team/fetch from upStream. I ran the build xml file and it downloaded ev3 classes.jar to the EV3. But the problems rem...

Re: Can I add external jars/libraries to my project?

On my computer, the Java Build Path tab for Libraries menu shows buttons for Add Jars and Add External Jars. Do these buttons work for you?

0.0.0 release GIT import

I am trying to get the latest code from GIT running on eclipse, and following the instructions in the wiki Working with GIT. To get the URI, I logged into my sourceforge account in a Chrome window; then I click on the wiki link the URI https://sourceforge.net/p/lejos/ev3/ci/master/tree/ The sourcefo...

Hi Andy, I am glad to learn that I don't need to build the jna. Unfortunately, I followed the instructions in the wiki on working with GIT ->building projects that said to build it. Re: Problem with the Point class

I have found the source of this problem. Point and its superclass Point2D both have instance variables x and y. I have discovered that since getX() is not implemented in Point, when this method is called, it is executed by Point2D which returns the Point2D value of x. But if you invoke point.x you g...
