Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

I'm curious too :D
I'd like to see both what is the framerate just for reading an image (depending on its size) both with and without an MJPEG camera and for common OpenCv operations

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

I lent my webcam to a student, I will get a new one with mjpeg compression and do some test.
It will take some time, though

I remember it was able to transmit 2-4 frame per sec on the demos, but I did'nt compare speeds

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

I have browsed around, and it seems to me that the tricks I find just extract the shared native library from the jar to TMP then call loadLibrary. This is OK if the shared library is monolithic, else all dependent libraries should be extracted appropriately. (but let me know if other techniques are ...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

Yes, I read that there are ways to bundle the native libraries within the jar.
I will try to do it as soon I find time

BTW, this is OpenCv v 3.0.0

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

Ah, yes, they are different! sorry, they are not from the same demo, I have fixed the description

OK, it seems the monolithic version has relocation link issues with thumb enabled ... I'll leave it as is, shared (i.e. OpenCv with thumb on, and ffmpeg with thumb off)

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

"highlighted" in the sense that the tracked blob is surrounded with a red contour. The other green blob color seems to be different enough respect to the tracked color (Lego green bricks) PS is it possible to enable editing the opening post by the author? I have found on other forums (XDA)...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

The thumb library version seems to work (I will try to make a monolithic version including ffmpeg later just to see if it's smaller than all these libs combined) Here a OpenCvPanoramaDemo example enlarged (not bad for coming from an initial definition of just 320x240) ... I wonder if higher res are ...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

Hmmm .... --disable-asm and --disable-static seems to have solved the earlier error ... but there are relocation linking errors even is I --disable-static
I'll leave ffmpeg as is (shared and arm) and try it with OpenCv (thumb)

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

OK, i have removed your version. I had to remove thumb instructions in my monolithic version for the same reason, I have not tried to reenable it in the shared one ... I will try FFMpeg complains that some conditional instruction is not compatible with thumb ...why do they add the --enable-thumb opt...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

DONE! I've compiled a version with shared libraries including FFmpeg. You can find it at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/78rg817hcsxa6og/AAC8ReOETEAHEka5ACvQo1B9a?dl=0 - arm: my release compiled for arm (no thumb option) - thumb: compiled with thumb instructions (not tested yet, FFmpeg does not compile w...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

For the demo I am still using your compiled library, I have'nt yet tested my version with ffmpeg. (and yes, I started with your lejos-arm-gnueabi.toolchain.cmake configuration and started with ccmake as in your script, than changed some configs) I have been able to compile the whole stuff as a fat l...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

First nice demo. /** * @author Andrea Sterbini <a.sterbini@gmail.com> * (shamelessly inspired by Lawrie Griffiths's HTTPDemo) * * Streaming a panorama taken from a spherical mirror (Omnidirectional Camera) * * Point your browser to http://10.0.1.1:8080 * You can get 4 frame per second on bluetooth *...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

I have tried to recompile OpenCv as a set of shared libraries (instead than a single monolithic one) and I get an error about a missing __sync_fetch_and_add_4 symbol Did you get the same error in your builds? If yes, how can I can fix it? (I have added -lgcc_s -lgcc to the linking steps but it's not...

Re: Omnidirectional Camera and OpenCV

I agree with you that the ev3dev decision has many implications and that the Lejos core developers have a clearer idea and experience of it. I respect any decision you make ... (and I have been already gifted by your many years of work). I really hope that the switch will be possible and I think/hop...
