64-bit Windows XP for RCX or NXJ?

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to use leJOS RCX or NXJ on a Windows XP 64-bit system. I'm thinking of installing XP on my laptop, but I wasn't sure which version to get. My main concern is the driver for the RCX usb tower. I know this is the NXJ part of the forum, but I didn't want to doub...

lejos 3.0 on ubuntu 9.10 [solved]

Hello everyone, After some searching on the forums, it appears that my problem is quite frequent, but I can't seem to get it solved. I am running JDK6 on Ubuntu 9.10 64bit. I have set up everything like the lejos 3.0 README said, but when I go to run checkDistribution.sh I get this: bits@bits-laptop...

LDT on eclipse Galileo?

Hi all I moving to eclipse for my Java work. I have successfully installed the JavaFX, Android, and leJOS NXJ plugins, but I can't get the LDT plug in for leJOS for the RCX. How is it installed? I chose archive and selected the .zip file, but when I click ok I get this. http://img228.imageshack.us/i...

No docs in lejos NXJ .7?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering why isn't there any java docs in the NXJ 0.7 download? I tried the .zip and .exe win32 versions and there aren't docs in either. The readme says there are docs included in the download, but they no existe?
Thanks for all the work on leJOS!

window's wants a passkey in bluetooth

Hi everyon, I downloaded the new .6 nxj. I was able to download the firmware and a program via the usb connection to the nxt. I ran the nxjbrowse program, and it found my nxt. When, I click connect Window's tells me that the nxt is trying to connect, and wants a passkey. If I click cancel, the nxjbr...

To send data from PC > RCX I suggest using RCXPort on the PC To send data from RCX>PC I suggest RCXInputStream and RCXOutputStream. Read the setup instructions for using RCXPort you have to do a bit more than just setting up regular lejos use. I am building a photocopier/scanner for PC<>RCX interact...

If there isn't one in the current release, I don't think that would be added in future releases. Having parts that don't exactly fit how Lego designed them would require (I think ) a good bit of extra code and processing.

Ok, I think I understand what you mean. I suggest when the rover notices that the the light goes from black to white: Robot.backward(3,3); Robot.pause(150); Robot.right(3,3); Robot.pause(80); Robot.forward(1,1); if(light.equals(white)){ Robot.left(3,3); Robot.pause(80); Robot.backward(3,3); Robot.pa...

Possibly because the design of your robot prohibits the movement of it using only one motor. I suggest this. import josx.platform.rcx.Motor; import josx.platform.rcx.LCD; import josx.platform.rcx.Sensor; import josx.platform.rcx.Button; import josx.platform.rcx.Sound; import josx.robotics.TimingNavi...

Yes, the light sensor for the RCX can only detect light intensity levels. So, usually black has a lower intensity and white has a higher intensity. Gray would have a intensity somewhere in the middle. It can't detect different wavelengths. Here is a site I found describing how to build a Color Senso...

I hope you have two motors, or one with a differential gear. Here is the basic steps of a line-following robot I built with a rcx: Robot drives forward a little bit. Checks to see of light sensor is still reading black: If it is then drive forward a little bit more. If it is not then turn left a lit...

Well, your code seem to do the job. I doesn't look like too much of a complicated bot. Did you want to add some other features?

Interesting. I was going to do something like this with my RCX bricks this summer.

Where will the sample programs run on: the computer or the NXT?
