Enchanting on Linux (Opensuse Leap 42.2)

Hi,
I wanted to try enchanting on Linux.

I´ve built from source, which went fine, and tried to convert the instructions for udev-blacklisting and so on to my system.

Now, when I start enchanting, I get:

The first four lines are before I turned on my NXT. The others are after that. I guess that I must have something set up wrong with udev. Any ideas?

I'm afraid it has been a long time since I've played with udev/seeing the NXT under linux.

I'd suggest:
- try the included shell scripts -- I believe there is one to flash the firmware, and one to browse for files -- that use leJOS with a GUI and will show if a connection between the computer and NXT can be established
- try installing leJOS NXJ by itself, and see if you can use it. (Hopefully the other forums here can be more helpful with the udev issue in that scenario).

Hi,

I had a similar problem to goeba when using the udev rules suggested by the Enchanting documentation. I came across the leJOS udev rules and they seem to work (at least, Enchanting says it's found an NXT). Here's the contents of my /etc/udev/rules.d/mindstorms-nxt.rules file:

Note that I changed the GROUP to "plugdev", as my user account was already a member of this group.
