Connecting to a PC running Linux FROM the NXT

Postby jhebus » Thu Feb 27, 2014 5:55 pm

Hi there,

I am trying to connect to a PC running Ubuntu Linux 12.04. Specifically, the NXT should initiate the connection.

I have seen some other posts that talk about this on the forum, but they seem to be windows orientated. Those discussions seem to be saying that the NXT is trying to connect to the first endpoint on the PC, and this has usually been allocated to something else.

Any help would be appreciated here. The general idea that i am going for is that the PC acts like a server waiting for connections from the NXT, after which point data is exchanged. Having the PC initiate the connection does not fit what i am trying to do.

So far i can happily find the PC and resolve its friendly name, but connection requests are UNSUCCESSFUL.

I have a server sitting waiting on the PC base on the server code in the following: ... /x502.html.

I tried ports 0 , 1 , and 3 with no luck.

Any and all help appreciated,
