Reflashing NXT with linux

Postby Xpyd3r » Thu Jan 10, 2008 9:01 pm

Okay i had one NXT flashed with .4 and i got a second with lego firmware on it.

I copied the new folder into the new and replaced all.

First do I have to delete then copy? or do I Have to rebuild or did I do it an acceptable way?

second I tried to flash both NXT's and they both bring up the initial NXJ logo then one goes to

Java Exception:
Class: 6
Method: 0

then the second says

Data Abort
PC 00103E3C
OP Code 24
Debug01 000000000
Debug02 000000000

I have no idea what just happened. Im hoping I didnt ruin anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated Please and Thanks!!!

Class 6 is NOSUCHMETHODERROR. This would be caused by lejos_nxt_rom.bin being from one version of leJOS and StartUpText.bin from another.

As you discovered, overwriting the directory for one version of leJOS with another is not a good idea.
